Earthquake Newark Concert reviews
Clapton and Daltrey, awesomeness personified!
1. At first, I was apprehensive about Daltrey's voice but it sounded a little weak because of our relation to the speakers, far left of the stage.
2. An excellent mix of electric and acoustic.
3. What can I say about Earthquake? He is still God when it comes to guitar.
4. Other reviews have mentioned Eric and Roger not being at their best, maybe those shows were at the end of several days on the road.
5. Great show.
6. Riverbend is an amphitheater and we ended up having perfect weather after a couple of weeks of heat and humidity.
7. Roger put on an excellent 1-hour show playing mostly Who hits, but throwing in a few of his own songs, piqueing my interest to hear more.
8. The video screens made it unnecessary to use my binoculars, they were usually zoomed in on his left hand displaying the magic fingers which earned him the nickname, Slowhand.
9. And Eric was concerned about being able to pull off being the only guitarist. He had nothing to worry about, it sounded perfect.
10. Our show here in Cincy came after a day or two off, so both were nail on the head on.
11. Ah well, a wonderful time was had by all. What disappoints me most is that Earthquake only played one song in his encore and he and Daltrey didn't perform together.
